Mary & Garry Bichelmeyer, Gordon Riley, Marvin Gregg and Marvin Bredemeier, The Stranger Creek Bank, played last night, Aug 26th, at Burger King to a large and fun audience.
Jerome Oberle and Frank Palcher played accordions. Everyone really enjoyed that. Ron Fine say along with the accordions.
We all sang happy birthday to Anne Little.
The bank thanks everyone for the “tips”. That is the only payment the get for playing every Tuesday night.

The Stranger Creek band (Mary & Garry Bichelmeyer, Gordon Riley, Marvin Gregg and Marvin Bredemeier) played last night at Burger King and lots of people danced and had fun. Mary is now back with the band full time but still recuperating from knee surgery.
Anne Little and Ron Fine both came up and sang a couple of songs.
We celebrated Doris Riley (Gordon’s wife) and Ben Curtright’s birthdays with lots of great cookies.
Stranger Creek band plays every Tuesday night from 6:30 until 9pm at the Burger King @ 95th and Quivira in Overland Park, KS.
The band will play this Friday, August 15th at the Heritage Center, 109 Delaware, Downtown Leavenworth. Food Bar 6:30 pm/ Show 7:00 pm. There is a cover charge of $10. Call 913-682-2122 for reservations.
Mary Bichelmeyer was not able to play due to her recent knee surgery. So Chuck Yates played base for Mary. The rest of the band was Garry Bichelmeyer, Gordon Riley, and Marvin Gregg. Marvin Bredemeier was sick and could not be there. Larry Smith and Melissa Petropoulos joined the band last night. Melissa’s daughter Sara sang with her mother.
We celebrated Ed’s birthday with cookies.
The band will be playing @ American Legion 7500 W 75th St, Saturday Aug. 9th from 7 till 11pm. There is a $5 cover charge at the door. Bring snacks to share with everyone. Mary will be playing bass and Kenny Evans will join the band playing guitar and singing.
